Need advice, insane towing charges
Last night i got in a fight(no i did not start it) and i jumped in my truck went to the end of the road (thinkin it went through) tried to do a uturn caught the side of the ditch slid my truck sideways into it. Cops came and called a tow company, the tow truck company brought two trucks, one winch and one flatbed. They dragged my truck out with it in park, even though the key was in the ignition. I called them in this morning to find out they are charging me $100 per truck, plus a $50 recovery fee, plus a $30 storage fee, $3 a miles towing fee and get this! a $200 divers fee! He claims the officer said it was in a canal!! The truck never touched the first drop of water! What do I do???? I dont have $500 to go bail my truck out of the impound and have no idea what to do.
During all this, the officer would not allow me anywhere near my truck or to even get my personals out of the truck before it was hauled off. No i did not get arrested or charged with anything.

That sucks man. I have no clue what to do but I find the diver's fee to be very funny. Did they were a wet suit and flippers to hook up the wench? Don't want them to get hypothermia from all the dew on the grass.

^this. I dont see you getting anything from fighting them. If you dispute the miles they will just tell you they had to take an alternate route. The drivers fee is just saying that they came out. Its all bull, but welcome to towing. Good luck man.
