I just got an LED LCD and it's great. The viewing angle is great, screen doesn't wash out with a lot of light in the room and the picture and refresh are amazing. I think the screen and whole tv is great. It is an LG 47".

get the LCD, they are a lot lighter and have fewer problems. Plasmas are prone to burn ins and cannot be laid down past a 45* angle. Also a lot of plasmas are only 720 not 1080. and the glass front on plasmas will give you a lot of glare.

Plasma. They run a little hotter, BUT the clarity in the picture is unbeatable. They do not have the 'soap opera' effect like the LCD's. You will not find a better, warmer picture.

The reason I went LCD was the warranty on the plasma depended on a % of lines across the picture before it was repaired under warranty. This was BestBuy.

There is also a lot bigger selection of LCD TVs. I work retail and out of the 50+ TVs we sell, we have 2 Plasmas.

I prefer an LCD as well. My tv has no glare, and a nice crisp picture. I don't have to worry about burn in, and I can pick it up and move it anywhere by myself.

Its a 42" Vizio LCD 1080p.

Yes LCD is a good choice.. i Agree that some plasmas look better but it doesnt equal all the downfalls of plasmas.. Glare, Small viewing angle, burn ins..etc..

I like my 52" lcd. I've seen plasmas yes they seem warmer but I have heard bad stuff about them going out. Not trying to steer you away if thats what your looking at. Just saying what I've heard.

LCD...whether it's cold cathode or LED back-lit it's all your preference. Plasma will give better picture but you can burn the images of gaming graphics or channel logos, and may have to deal with replacing bulbs.
I've got normal LCD Samsungs and a LED LCD in my laptop. It' a little more brilliant of a back lighting but not by far.

I prefer plasma out of the 2. I have 2 plasmas, one is a Toshiba 42" and the other is a Samsung 52". The Toshiba is still kicking strong as it is over 5 years old (might be over 6 years) with out a single problem.

My newer Samsung which is a little over a year old has a few features in it to prevent burn in. It has an adjustable pixel shift, which shifts the pixels in a circle like fashion to prevent burn in. It also has a screen clear option with is suppose to clear the screen of any burn ins. I also like the deeper blacks and better contrast ratios with a plasma.

Now the Toshiba being older does not have as many features and doesn't have a great picture like my Samsung.

I am not sure if you needed to know all this information, but so far I have had good luck with my plasmas. My next one of course will be a LED TV.

You can find a nice projector around $600-$800. There are cheaper ones but they are not as bright and picture quality sucks. I seen them as cheap as $100, but I would stay away from those.

I also found some good deals on Epson Projectors. 10% off w/ promo code EPSONPJAU, ends 8/8. Plus free shipping and no tax depending on you're state.
